Istanbul – Melbourne

Turkish Airlines is taking a historic step by expanding its network to Melbourne, Australia. This is the first destination on the Australian continent for the Turkish carrier. This new destination means you can now fly to six continents with Turkish Airlines. With a modern fleet of as many as 450 aircraft, the airline flies to 346 destinations in 130 countries. There is no airline with a larger network.

Three flights a week

The first flight between Istanbul and Melbourne took place earlier this month on 4 March 2024. A total of three flights a week will be operated between the two destinations, with a transfer at Singapore Changi International Airport. The flights will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER or 787-9 Dreamliner.

The addition of Melbourne as a destination marks an important milestone for Turkish Airlines, offering business travellers a new option to travel to Australia. At the same time, it strengthens Turkish Airlines’ position as a world-leading airline, which is currently the only European carrier to fly to Melbourne.
