Skytrax World Airline Awards 2024
The Skytrax World Airline Awards 2024, also known as the Oscars of the airline industry, were presented recently. This year marked the twenty-fifth edition of the event. The World Airline Awards claim to be completely independent and impartial. Based on surveys of travellers, Skytrax chooses the best airlines in various categories every year.
Turkish Airlines won the award for Best Airline in Europe, followed by Air France in second and Swiss in third place. KLM finished ninth here.
The award for World’s Best Airline was won by Qatar Airways; the airline won this award for the eighth time! Singapore Airlines went home with the second prize and Emirates with the third prize.
Other awards presented by Skytrax were:
- World’s Best Economy Class and World’s Cleanest Airline: Cathay Pacific Airways;
- World’s Best Premium Economy Class: Japan Airlines;
- World’s Best Business Class: Qatar Airways;
- World’s Best Cabin Crew: Singapore Airlines.
